What is the
Fixed Orthodontics?

Fixed orthodontics consists of  placement of an apparatus, known as brackets, which is placed on the surface of the external face of the tooth without surrounding it and using archwires of different diameters depending on the evolution of the treatment.

Types of Fixed Orthodontics

brackets

metal braces

It is the conventional method in which small pieces of metal are adhered and joined by means of arches exerting different pressures on the dental pieces that are aligned little by little. It is necessary to regulate the pressure of the tires and achieve short-medium term results.

Aesthetic Brackets

The operation is similar to that of metal brackets but, in this case, the bracket is made with materials such as ceramic, which manage to blend in with the tooth and serve to offer a more aesthetic result.

Advantages of Aesthetic Brackets

They are translucent and very little visible.

They adhere to the outer surface of the tooth and take on its color.

They have no visible metal, although the archwires that join them are metal (sometimes we use wires that have a cosmetic coating to further reduce your vision).

They combine aesthetics, efficiency and comfort.

They do not interfere with speech.

Accommodation time is short.

Who is recommended?

Fixed Orthodontics can be performed on people of any age, although it is usual to do it when the permanent teeth have already come out and replaced the milk ones, who suffer from any of the following symptoms.

Post treatment:
care and duration

Teeth move throughout life. To avoid this movement and make the result last, once the treatment is finished, we move on to the retention stage.

This stage begins the same day that the brackets are removed, since in that same appointment we will put the fixed retention on you, which is nothing more than a small metal cable in the upper and lower arches, from fang to fang, to make sure that those teeth don’t move again.

In addition, we give you removable night plates for greater security and we combine it with regular appointments to verify that everything is perfect.

How much does a fixed orthodontic treatment cost?

The price of a Fixed Orthodontic treatment ranges between €3,000 and €6,000. It depends on the needs and situation of each person and the only way to know exactly the price of the treatment is by going to the clinic to carry out a complete study.
